The Chalet Casa Codasi
is a good starting point for a multitude of great sport activities,
and in particular for exploring the Aletsch area, listed as
UNESCO world heritage. The chalet is situated in a peaceful
setting facing south with a fantastic panoramic view of the Valais
Alps
,
close to all 'happenings' in Riederalp. Various shops and restaurants
as well as the post office and the bank are within comfortable walking
distances of a few minutes.
Riederalp itself is situated on a gently sloping
sunny plateau at the foot of the Aletsch glacier and offers numerous
activities suited to the season.
Winter
Riederalp gives way to excellent terrain for
skiing, snowboarding, sledding, and snow walking; perhaps the best
to exist. Modern transportation facilities take you to almost unlimited
winter sports pleasures. Here, 2,000 meters (6,560 ft) above sea
level, you find arbitrary
numbers of slopes with snow cover guaranteed.
Out of the bed, onto the board - Whether ski driver, carver
or snowboarder, from the Chalet Casa Codasi you arrive directly
at the slopes.
Summer
The Chalet Casa Codasi is the ideal starting
point for exploring the natural phenomenon of the Aletsch area.
Whether you are hurtling down the hills or riding along leisurely
cycle paths, floating through the air in the limitless freedom of
a paragliding flight, enjoying a hike through the Aletsch Forest
or on a wildlife observation tour to watch charming marmots –
24 km of ice in one piece
make for a landmark that leaves an unforgettable impression. Not
only does Riederalp have amazing and interesting displays of nature
as far as the eye can see, but it also offers great sport activities.
The
golf course (nine-hole) and the tennis courts are just a stone’s
throw away from the Chalet and the driving ranch
is even beside.

From Mörel (compulsory parking): change for the new cable car via Ried-Mörel to Riederalp-West. Our Chalet is located 100m away from the station.
